Update to a newer LTSP version, this was solved many months ago.

If you're using Ubuntu, use the Greek schools PPA (as the ltsp-pnp wiki
page recommends), LTSP in Ubuntu is quite broken without that PPA.

sudo -i
add-apt-repository ppa:ts.sch.gr
apt-get update
apt-get dist-upgrade

...both in the server and in the chroot.

If you're using Debian, use the backports repository.

Yes, I've done it, but for some reason I can not find the newer updates anymore.

I have installed kernel

Linux-Header 3.13.0-77
Linux-generic 3.13.0-77
Linux image 3.13.0-77

Are those too old?

Thanks

That's weird, it doesn't happen for me in 14.04 with the newest LTSP.

What's the output of this one? It will be a lot of lines, send all of them:

sudo -i
sh -x /usr/sbin/ltsp-update-image -c /
