Hi all,

I'm new at LTSP, and me and my coworker we're working on a new LTSP
server, (We needed to create another one, actually we're going to
migrate the old one to this new) and we set up a LTSP Server on edubuntu
14.04. After all set up and etc, we're start testing on the Thin
Clients, and after login the system is very slow. We changed that line
on the lts.conf
LDM_DIRECTX a couple of times and nothing.

Has anyone have any ideia what is going on? Has anyone had a similar
problem??

Thanks!

We might be able to help, however, more information from you would be
useful.

Your server

motherboard, memory, network card(s) how many and what is/are their
chipsets, is edubuntu 14.04 installed from scratch on the server or is
it an upgrade carried over from the older server? What desktop
environment have you elected to use?

Your network

how many servers and how many clients and how many subnets? Are the
network cards a mixture of 100 bit (from clients) and gigabit (from
server)? Are the switches all gigabit ports are they "smart" i.e.
"managed" or "unmanaged"?
