[Ltsp-discuss] jetpipe - serial printers

Hello, I've installed ltsp on a fresh ubuntu 14.04 lts, it was quite
straightforward. The first bump came with printing, usb and parallell
worked fine, serial printing did not work.
The mailing lists mentioned problems with serial printing for some
years, but I could not find recent news for some time now.
Is somebody having the same problem? Am I doing something wrong? Is this
a known issue? Is there a patch available?

Below I include the lts.conf lines that configure the serial printer.

PRINTER_0_PORT = 9100
PRINTER_0_TYPE = S
PRINTER_0_SPEED = 9600
PRINTER_0_FLOWCTRL = H
PRINTER_0_PARITY = N
PRINTER_0_DATABITS = 8
PRINTER_0_DEVICE = /dev/ttyS0

To verify the serial port works fine, I logged in the debug console and
"echo **garbage** >/dev/ttyS0.

Sorry to bother you again but I really need help with this.
Perhaps somebody could point me to some resource where I could find some
info on the subject, or a mailing list more specific to the problem i am
having.
